Fellowship Opportunities
First WednesdayEach Wednesday for ten weeks beginning in September and again in January from 5:45pm-7:30pm, we gather for a catered dinner, followed by special classes on a variety of topics. The classes offered have included a Kerygma Bible Study and a class on Parenting. Nursery care is available. Fifty Plus Those 50 years young and up meet for fellowship, meals, programs, trips and outings. The group meets for lunch at K & S Cafeteria on Buck Jones Road every third Friday, from September through May. Starbucks Crowd (20s, 30s, and 40s) The Starbucks Crowd welcomes anyone interested in fellowship. Various social events will be scheduled throughout the year, such as Durham Bulls and college basketball games. Every third Sunday of the month at 1:00pm, the Starbucks Crowd will meet for lunch at a local restaurant. Scouts The following Scouts meet Tuesdays at 6:30pm: Girl Scouts Troop 1113; Junior Troop 1113; and Brownie Troop 1464. Cub Scouts Pack 398
has Den meetings on Thursdays at 7:00pm and the Pack meeting on the
first Friday of each month. Boy Scouts Troop
398 meets Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Family Camp The church family gathers at Falls Lake for a Saturday in June to relax and enjoy the day. The day includes games, devotions, water sports and of course the Pittman's cooking. Pictures of the 2007 Family Camp are here.
